Montclair its time to talk about the climate crisis. As our planet’s health declines, temperatures begin to rise, droughts are more common, and wildfires engulf communities, the global south will see the majority of these changes, and the working class will feel its consequences. Join us to talk about how the Climate Crisis is eroding Andean glaciers, burning swaths of the Amazon, and learn about the champions working to defend our lands and how you can participate in your local community and promote change. There will also be pizza !

We will be at TCNJ on September 17th in SSB 131 at 5:00 PM with the TCNJ Environmental Club, TCNJ Environmental Sustainability Council, TCNJ Amnesty International and TCNJ Democrats. You will learn how to pair protest with actionable policy reform in your communities. This will be a huge opportunity to network with other progressive and hardworking students. There will also be pizza.

Here are the details: September 22nd, 5 p.m at Robertson RM 016. We’ll be breaking down how policy connects to organizing, practicing real strategies for resistance, and having the kind of discussions that move people to act. Our policy and resistance training is a chance to dig into how we fight the climate crisis through the lens of environmental justice.
Right now, more than half a million people in Puerto Rico are being impacted by a severe drought and a water system that has been failing communities for years. Join Climate Revolution Action Network (CRAN) at El Coquí Cafe in Clifton on September 27 for a Cafecito celebrating Puerto Rican and Latine culture while raising money to help get clean drinking water directly to communities in Puerto Rico.
