Early Spring Tree ID on the Mullica

Join us on a guided nature walk focused on tree identification in Wharton State Forest. We’ll walk a ~1.5 mile section of the Mullica River Trail (~3 miles total) while discussing identification techniques for native trees and shrubs of the Pinelands region. We’ll also explore how different tree species form a part of the larger ecosystem of the Mullica River Watershed. This is a great opportunity to connect with the unique ecosystem of the Pinelands region, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of the local environment– no previous tree identification knowledge required! Unfortunately, this trail is not ADA accessible. We hope to see you there!
