Ecology

Ecology is about mobilizing neighbors to safeguard land, water, and ecosystems. We work on the ground across New Jersey to preserve open space and reconnect people, particularly young people, with the places they fight for. That means hikes, door knocking, public testimony, research, digital organizing, and real pressure on decision makers.

Transit & Planning

Transit is the beating heart of New Jersey, the lights of development follow our rail lines and highways up and down the state. We cannot continue to let our most critical assets of transit fall into disrepair and our limited green spaces fall to suburban sprawl. We must invest in fast, clean, affordable, and future ready transit to bring our state closer together at less cost.

Save the 2nd Watchung Mountain

The Watchung Ridge Forest is under attack. The owner, Zygmunt Wilf, billionaire and owner of the Minnesota Vikings has sought to leverage the land to further build his net worth. At that time, the West Orange Planning board rightly prioritized environmental protection and public safety by rejecting a proposed development plan that would have added 136 housing units across 120 acres of the property.

Affordable Abundant Independent Clean Energy

Our energy system is stuck in the past. For too long, our government has ignored our aging energy grid, leaving us with decades-old power lines and dirty, expensive power plants. Now, we’re paying for their mistakes—power bills have risen by 20%, and are only expected to get higher. This is unacceptable. It’s time for politicians to modernize our grid and invest in the future of energy: renewables.

Campaigns

Keep Mullica River Wild

The Mullica River is one of New Jersey’s last truly wild and ecologically intact waterways, but growing development and fragmented protections leave it vulnerable. Our campaign seeks to secure federal designation under the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, which would protect the river from harmful projects while preserving local control.

Ban Toxic PFAS Now

PFAS, often called “forever chemicals,” are a class of man made chemicals used in products because they resist water, stains, and grease. But that convenience comes at a huge cost. PFAS have been linked to cancer, immune system harm, developmental impacts, and hormone disruption, and they can persist in the environment for years. New Jersey should not allow toxic chemicals like these to remain in the clothing we wear or in menstrual products used directly on and inside our bodies.

Campaigns

Make Polluters Pay

We drain our basements. We toss out waterlogged furniture. We wait for FEMA checks that never cover what was lost. We rebuild — and wait for the next one. This is the reality of climate change in New Jersey. But more than that, it’s the result of a system built by fossil fuel companies who knew this would happen, and kept drilling anyway. They lied. They cashed in.

Build Communities, Not Data Centers

Big tech is going all in on AI, and communities are already feeling the consequences. AI data centers are raising our bills, polluting our environment, and disturbing our communities. Meanwhile, the billionaires and private equity firms behind AI are using it to undermine our institutions at every corner.

Our state lawmakers must take immediate action to protect New Jersey from the dangers of AI.
